Chia Seeds

About Chia Seeds

Chia seeds are native to Mexico and Guatemala and have been used there since the Aztecs.  The Aztecs ate them for energy and endurance and word in Mayan actually means, “strength”.

We use chia seeds in all our superfood mixes.

Chia seeds can be absorbed by the body as seeds and do not need to be broken/ground up.  They have a very mild flavor – which is one reason why they’re such a popular superfood … they don’t really have a strong taste.

Nutrition Benefits of Chia Seeds

Chia Seeds are widely recognized as a superfood, primarily due to rich levels of omega-3 fatty acids, high fiber, protein, and antioxidants.
