About Granola

Granola can be made multiple ways, but typically contains oats, honey and nuts.  The nutrition facts we have logged for granola is for an average recipe.

In contrast to Muesli, granola is baked and sweetened.

Nutrition Benefits of Granola

The oats in granola provide a good amount of fiber and iron and the nuts and seeds provide healthy fats and protein.  Depending on the recipe, there may be added oils and sugars, so you have to be careful when picking out a granola.  It can be a much healthier snack than most alternative snacking options, which is one reason for its popularity.
