Honey

Superfood Smoothie Recipes with Honey, by My Nutrition Advisor

About Honey
Honey is used as a type of natural sweetener. It has been consumed by humans for over 8,000 years! China produces about 1/3 of the world’s honey.
Nutrition Benefits of Honey
The sugar in honey is primary a combination of fructose and glucose. It is used by most people as a natural sweetener. Many people also use honey for purposes such as cough medicine, treating wounds to fight infection, energy, and reduction of allergy symptoms. The reduction of allergy systems is more from introducing small amounts of pollen into your system to allow you to build up your immunity against it.
You may have heard of people taking bee pollen as a supplement. Bee pollen is considered by many to be a superfood.
