About Pomegranate Powder

Pomegranate powder is made from the seeds of the pomegranate fruit.  Pomegranates come from a shrub native to the Mediterranean region.  It was brought to the Americas in 1769 by Spanish settlers.  The plant itself can live for 200 years.

It’s the seeds in the pomegranate fruit that are used for eating and are a superfood.

Nutrition Benefits of Pomegranate Powder

Pomegranates are considered a superfood due to their antioxidant properties.  In particular, they contain the compounds punicalagin and punicalin, as well as the antioxidant polyphenols: tannins, anthocyanins, and ellagic acid.

They are many various studies that link pomegranates to potentially supporting things like: anti-cancer, arthritis, heart health, erectile dysfunction, cholesterol, depression, skin health, and others.
